Makes 4 small pizza
Usually pizza bases are made with yeast to help them rise, this takes time to prove and needs kneading. These yeast free bases are super speedy for a quick and easy snack.
Ingredients
275g self raising flour
½tsp salt
125ml semi skimmed milk
4tbsp olive oil
300ml tomato passata
1 x 150g mozzarella
pizza toppings, red onion slices, pepperoni, ham, etc
50g Cheddar cheese, grated
Sift the flour and salt into a large mixing bowl, add the milk and oil and start stirring with a wooden spoon until everything comes together and forms a soft dough. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured worksurface and knead for about a minute or until it makes a smooth ball. Cut the ball into 4. Then roll out using a rolling pin into 15cm circles.
Place the pizza circles on lightly floured baking sheets. Top each base with a couple of spoonfuls of passata and spread out to give an even layer. Add the mozzarella and any other toppings. Top with grated Cheddar cheese and cook at 200°C for 10-15min or until the base has risen and the top is golden.
